Our story
  • EuropaNova Germany e.V. is a non-profit European intergenerational think tank, founded in November 2020 in Berlin. EuropaNova Germany e.V. has the ambition to fill a gap in the think tank and policy world by establishing a multicultural and multigenerational dialogue about European foreign and security policies in the form of a conference. We are not affiliated with any political organization and do not subscribe to any specific political ideology.

  • While working for the European think tank EuropaNova in Paris, Amélie Jaques-Apke and Moritz Floessler decided to create something new and exciting: to fill a gap in the think tank and policy world and to establish a multicultural and multigenerational dialogue about European and security policies in the form of a conference. They founded EuropaNova Germany e.V. with the aim to become the leading “think and do tank” primarily addressed to young people interested in European politics, global security issues, and Franco-German relations.

  • EuropaNova Germany e.V.’s  flagship project is the Young Security Conference (YSC), a long-term scientific, innovative, and participatory project. It aims at connecting brilliant young thinkers who want to shape the Europe of tomorrow with policy experts, decision-makers and academic scholars, namely on Security policy areas. It combines a flagship conference with a fellowship programme and  organises workshops on specific policy topics for the fellows. EuropaNova Germany acts as a mediator between politics, science and the public, involving as many different actors and voices as possible in a public dialogue in order to generate new ideas.
